Entertaiment:
A form of enjoyment or amusement. Entertaiment can take many forms, including theatre, dance, music concerts, and comedy shows. It can also be found in games, television, movies, and digital media. Entertaiment can bring joy, stimulate learning, and even have negative effects if not regulated properly.
The word entertainment is derived from the Latin intertenere, from the prefix inter meaning “inside,” and the suffix tenere, a root of the verb to hold or stretch. The original meaning, which is reflected in the etymology of the word entertainer, was to provide a means of attaining perception or highbrow growth.
