The Daily News

Founded in 1919, the New York Daily News was the first tabloid newspaper in the United States and remains one of the largest papers in circulation. The paper is published every day, except for holidays and Sundays. It covers local, national and international news with a focus on the city of New York. It also offers sports coverage, celebrity news and politics. The paper has a history of controversy and is known for its bold headlines and political leanings.

The newspaper has a strong reputation for investigative journalism and is often critical of government officials and corporate entities. The newspaper has received numerous awards for its writing and its photography, including a Pulitzer Prize in 1976. The Daily News is considered a leading source of news in the metro area. It is not as widely read as the New York Times or the New York Post, but it still has a loyal readership.

In recent years, the Daily News has taken a more liberal tone. This was probably partly a response to the conservative polemics of its crosstown rival, the New York Post. The newspaper has also taken on several crusades that are not helpful to its credibility.

As of 2017, the Daily News has a circulation of about 200,000. The newspaper is owned by Tronc, a media company. It has an AllSides Media Bias Rating of Left, which means that the paper is biased in ways that are consistent with left-wing thought and ideology.

It was once the number two paper in town after the NY post but since its heavy turn to the left and non stop anti trump rhetoric it has been dropped to the bottom of the pack but i still lay out 3 bucks a week for the sports section and just to see whats going on in the city.

This is a great newspaper for anyone who wants to stay current on all the major events around the world. The Daily News has great columnists like Jimmy Breslin, Mike Lupica and Rex Reed and it is the best sports paper in town. The sports section covers the Yankees, Mets and Jets in a way that no other paper does.

The daily News is not the most reliable news source but it has a lot of insider knowledge on the city and its residents. This is a must read for anyone who lives in NYC or is interested in the city’s politics and culture.

I really love the Daily News but it is extremely hard to get it in my neighborhood due to a delivery problem. It takes almost a month to get the paper and when I call their number to report it they always transfer you to the Philippines. I’ve called 51 times and they never fixed it. I’m considering switching to a competitor.
